Ductless AC
London Ontario.
From $3,700.
Single-Zone. Multi-Zone. All-In.
Ductless mini-split installation in London Ontario — single-zone from $3,700 all-in, multi-zone from $5,500. No ductwork required. A single line set (about 3 inches in diameter) drilled through the wall connects the indoor air handler to the outdoor condenser. Installation typically 3–5 hours for single-zone. Heat pump models cool in summer and heat in winter, rated to −25°C for London Ontario winters.
Ductless is the right solution for garages, workshops, sunrooms, additions, hot rooms, and homes without existing ductwork. Every Hawana installation includes a nitrogen pressure test to confirm zero leaks before refrigerant is introduced, then a vacuum pulled to 500 microns to remove all moisture. These two steps are skipped by some installers. Hawana does not skip them — and it’s the reason the installations don’t fail within the first year.
Certified HVAC technician — not TSSA. Ductless installation requires refrigerant certification, not TSSA gas certification. Abdullah holds the correct Ontario credentials for R-32 A2L and R-410A systems.

Where Ductless AC Is
the Right Solution
Each situation has a different reason why ductless is the right choice. Here are the six most common London Ontario scenarios with the real photo, the honest reason, and the price.

Proper Installation vs
The Shortcuts That Fail
The most expensive ductless problem is a refrigerant leak or moisture contamination appearing 6–12 months after installation — caused by skipped steps during commissioning. Know what to ask for before any technician starts work.
Before hiring any ductless installer, ask: “Do you do a nitrogen pressure test before charging?” and “What vacuum level do you pull to?” If they don’t know what you’re asking, the answer is no. (647) 550-4220
Ductless AC Brands
Installed in London Ontario
Hawana installs all major ductless brands. Here is an honest assessment of where each one fits best — not a sales pitch.

Hawana’s most-installed ductless brand in London Ontario. Cold-climate models rated to −25°C. Canadian-market warranty with strong parts availability. Inverter-driven compressor modulates continuously — no hard-start cycling like older technology. Available in single-zone and multi-zone. Best overall value for London Ontario conditions year-round.

Samsung’s Wind-Free technology diffuses air through thousands of tiny micro-holes rather than direct airflow — no cold blast on occupants. App control via SmartThings. Higher efficiency ratings (18–24 SEER2). Very quiet operation at 19 dB indoor. Best choice for bedrooms, sunrooms, and living areas where direct airflow is uncomfortable. Popular for master bedrooms in London Ontario.

Lower unit cost makes Senville the most economical option for applications where budget drives the decision: garages, workshops, and utility spaces. Reliable inverter compressor, reasonable parts availability for common repairs. Not Hawana’s primary recommendation for living spaces, but a solid choice for functional areas where performance matters more than features.
Multi-Zone Systems
For 2–4 zone applications, Gree and LG offer strong multi-zone product lines with correctly-sized outdoor units for varied room loads. LG’s multi-zone inverter can run a large living area handler and a small bedroom handler simultaneously at different output levels. Gree provides a cost-effective alternative to TOSOT for multi-zone. Both brands have good parts availability in Canada.

Nitrogen Test + 500-Micron Vacuum.
Every Installation. No Exceptions.
This is what proper ductless commissioning looks like. After the system is assembled and pressure-tested with nitrogen, the Fieldpiece digital manifold and vacuum pump pull the entire refrigerant circuit down to 500 microns — removing all residual moisture and non-condensable gases before a single gram of refrigerant is introduced.
Why this matters: moisture trapped in a refrigerant circuit reacts with the refrigerant and compressor oil to form hydrofluoric acid. That acid corrodes the compressor internals. The system eventually fails — typically 2–4 years early — and the failure looks like a compressor failure, not an installation problem. The original installer is long gone.
- Nitrogen test first: system charged to 300 PSI and held for 30 minutes. Any pressure loss means a leak — found and fixed before refrigerant is ever introduced.
- Vacuum to 500 microns: the entire refrigerant circuit evacuated and held at 500 microns. Verified on the digital manifold. Not estimated by time.
- Refrigerant by weight: charged to manufacturer specification on a wireless Elitech scale — not by pressure chart alone, not estimated.
- Tested in both modes: cooling mode temperature verified with infrared thermometer. Heat pump models also tested in heating mode before job is called complete.

Multi-Zone Ductless
$5,500–$9,500 London Ontario
A multi-zone system runs 2, 3, or 4 indoor air handlers from a single outdoor condenser. Each indoor unit has its own remote control and independent temperature setting. The bedroom that needs 22°C can run while the home office stays at 19°C simultaneously — from the same outdoor unit, on the same refrigerant circuit.
Multi-zone outdoor units must be correctly sized for the combined load of all connected indoor units. An oversized outdoor unit causes short-cycling. An undersized unit can’t meet peak demand. Abdullah calculates the combined load before recommending any multi-zone configuration. The number and size of indoor units determines the outdoor unit — not the other way around.
- 2–3 zone from $5,500 all-in. Most common upstairs bedroom application in London Ontario homes.
- 4-zone from $7,500 all-in. Full home coverage without ductwork.
- TOSOT multi-zone is Hawana’s primary multi-zone recommendation in London Ontario — Canadian warranty, strong parts availability, reliable at −25°C.
- Each zone independently controlled. One zone can be off while others run. No wasted cooling in empty rooms.
- Multi-zone installation: one outdoor unit placement + multiple indoor mounts + line sets for each zone. Typically one full day for a 3-zone system.
How Ductless Installation Works
5 Steps — London Ontario
Abdullah measures the space, calculates BTU load for the room or home, confirms the right unit and capacity, and provides a written all-in quote before any work begins: unit + installation labour + line set + line set cover + electrical + commissioning. Same-day written quote in most cases. No pressure, no obligation. Call (647) 550-4220.
Mounting bracket leveled and anchored to wall studs — not drywall anchors. Indoor unit clicked onto bracket. Drain line routed to exterior or condensate pump where exterior drain isn’t accessible. Indoor unit placement confirmed for correct airflow coverage of the room before finalizing.
Outdoor condenser placed on concrete pad (preferred) or properly rated wall brackets and leveled with a digital level. Core drilled through wall at correct pitch. Line set (refrigerant lines, drain, control wire, electrical) run, insulated, and covered with line set cover. Outdoor electrical disconnect wired. Snow stand installed standard on all heat pump models.
System charged with nitrogen to 300 PSI and held for a minimum of 30 minutes. Any pressure drop indicates a leak — found and repaired before refrigerant is introduced. This step is skipped by some installers because it takes time and adds no income. Hawana does not skip it. A refrigerant leak in a newly installed system is a serious installation failure — nitrogen testing prevents it completely.
System evacuated to 500 microns and held — verified on Fieldpiece digital manifold. Refrigerant released and charge verified by weight on Elitech wireless scale to manufacturer specification. System run in cooling mode: supply air temperature confirmed with infrared thermometer. Run in heating mode for heat pump models. Installation complete only when both modes are confirmed running to spec. Invoice matches written quote.
